Announcing Battle of the Books

Meadowview Intermediate students will have the opportunity to participate in the Wisconsin state Battle of the Books this year. In this activity, students are challenged to read the books chosen by the Battle of the Books committee; then, they are tested on their knowledge of those books. The top four students and one alternate will become the official team for MVI and will compete online with other teams across the state. Last year, the Intermediate team placed among the top 15 teams in the state! The Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology Association (WEMTA) sponsors this state-wide competition, which is geared towards students who are very good readers. An organizational meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 18 at 2:45 in the LMC.
